The Dimetra IP system, an enhanced IP-based TETRA solution, is highly flexible and scalable and can support voice, messaging and mobile applications, including remote access to data and data transmission over a single network. The system will enable secure, always-on mobile voice and data channels, and is capable of full interoperability across multiple user segments to improve operational efficiency and achieve fail-safe seamless communications essential for ensuring passenger safety and security.

“Increase in air traffic has put tremendous demands on the management of airports. Motorola is committed to bring the latest mission-critical voice and data mobile solutions to airports in Asia Pacific. There are now ten international airports in Asia Pacific utilizing Motorola’s TETRA solutions in providing world class capability to the airport industry,” said Phey Teck Moh, vice president and general manager, Government & Public Safety, Motorola Asia Pacific.

The TETRA communications solutions that Motorola will provide to the three airports include base stations, MSO switches, mobile, portable and fixed radios.
