Juniper Networks, Inc. announced that RETN, one of the leading network carriers in Russia, has deployed the Juniper Networks MX-series Ethernet Services Routers to create a faster, more reliable and service-enabling network infrastructure.
RETN provides high-performance network capacity and transport services for its service provider customers, who depend upon the RETN network to deliver high-capacity, bandwidth-intensive services and applications.
"The market is becoming increasingly competitive, so we continue to invest in our infrastructure to stay ahead of the game," said Dmitry Samarin, chief executive officer, RETN.
Since its foundation in 2002, RETN has increased its network reach and capability across Russia and internationally. Today the company has interconnection with more than 550 domestic and international network partners, serving more than 900 corporate and service provider customers.
On the other hand, Gert-Jan Schenk, senior vice president of operations, EMEA, Juniper Networks said that carriers and service providers face the challenge of controlling costs while maximizing their revenues with innovative, high-quality services that can scale in line with business expansion.
