TANDBERG Drives Growth in China & Japan with new Appointments

TANDBERG has announced the appointment of Daniel Johansson as President, North Asia, and Alex Lee as Vice President, China, in a bid to drive further growth and presence in China and Japan.

According to the provider of telepresence, high-definition video conferencing and mobile video solutions, combined, China and Japan make up one of the largest and fastest growing regions for video conferencing and telepresence in the world.
Analysts from Wainhouse Research 2007 figures indicate that China and Japan account for 70% of the Asia Pacific video conferencing market. China alone has seen a 52% market size increase from 2006 to 2007

“We are excited to have Daniel and Alex join the North Asia team,” said Fredrik Halvorsen, Chief Executive Officer at TANDBERG.
”Daniel’s leadership in expanding our presence in rapidly growing video markets will bring value to our partners and customers in China and Japan. As we continue to invest in China, we are also confident that Alex’s vast experience in the China IT market and understanding of customers’ business and technology needs will further build TANDBERG’s position in the market,”

Mr. Johansson will be based out of TANDBERG’s North Asia headquarters in Shanghai, and Mr. Lee will be based out of the Beijing office.
