InfoPrint Appoints GM for Asia Pacific

 

 

InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, has appointed Benoît Chatelard as its General Manager for Asia Pacific.

Chatelard, who was formerly working in IBM’s Printing Systems division, will be based in the Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore and will report directly to Tony Romero, CEO, InfoPrint Solutions.

His previous ternur with IBM which spanned across five years, saw him in various sales positions in Europe, Middle East and Africa culminating in the position of vice president of sales for EMEA.

“Benoît has been the driving force behind our outstanding success in the EMEA market,” said Romero.

“He will now bring his energy, enthusiasm and experience to bear in a geography where we see tremendous growth opportunities. Emerging markets such as India and China in particular are starting to see the potential value of digital production printing.”

Chatelard joined IBM France in 1986, as sales representative in charge of the Peugeot-Citroën account. He worked with the IBM Process Industry and managed IBM’s Business Partners network in France, South Africa and Central Europe, Middle-East and Africa (CEMA) before joining IBM Printing Systems Division. A graduate engineer in electronics, Chatelard also has an MBA from the ‘École de Management de Lyon’, France.

“Since the launch of InfoPrint Solutions in June 2007 and ongoing investment from Ricoh, we have expanded our reach and our portfolio making us a strong proposition for customers in the Asia Pacific region,” commented Chatelard.

“I welcome the opportunity to lead our team and working with customers and business partners across the region.”

InfoPrint Solutions has offices across the Asia Pacific region including India, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea and Australia.
