Neal Woods to Lead HP IPG Worldwide Operations

HP announced last Friday that it has appointed Neal Woods as senior vice president of worldwide operations for the company's Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), effective Jan. 22.

Woods, 51, will be based in San Diego and have responsibility for driving IPG's global manufacturing, supply chain operations, worldwide planning and quality functions. He also will lead HP's worldwide Consumer Support, Global Logistics, Environmental and Strategic Supply organizations.

Woods comes to HP from Cisco, where he was most recently vice president of global manufacturing operations. In his seven years at Cisco, Woods led the company's global supply chain, 17 manufacturing sites and 15 logistics centers.

"Neal is a talented operational leader with deep, cross-functional supply chain experience," said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, HP.

"His impressive track record of implementing systems and process improvements for multi-site, globally disbursed and outsourced supply chains will provide immediate value and perspective to our organization."

Woods replaces Mike Fawkes, who is retiring from HP after 29 years of service.

Woods holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Kansas State University.
