Craig McClanahan is a Struts/Shale Creator.
Craig is currently Architect for Java Studio Creator, an IDE for graphically assembling web applications based on JavaServer Faces components. Previously, he was co-specification lead for JavaServer Faces 1.0 (JSR-127). Craig was also the original author of the Apache Struts framework for building Web applications, and also original developer of the Shale Framework that extends JavaServer Faces. He was part of the expert group that defined the servlet 2.2, 2.3 and JSP 1.1, 1.2 specifications. He is also the architect of Tomcat's servlet container Catalina.
