Ilia Alshanetsky tells you that PHP 5.2.2 is out. He further says that the release fixes over 120 different bugs and resolves almost all the Month of PHP bugs (MOPB) issues identified by Stefan Esser. It has also removed some security bugs that were identified by other security researchers as well as by PHP's developers.
He recommends all users to consider upgrading to this release regardless of the version they are currently running.
