There vision means improved performance and compatibility and that the Mambo core can now be fully translated. Both site administrators and site visitors can use the system in the language or character set of their choice.

The features of Mambo 4.6.2 are as follows:
- Platform independent Language Manager
- Support of auto translation
- Increased flexibility for extensions development
- Stability and security improvements
- Lighter database footprint
- A number of bug fixes
- Improved compatibility with older third party extensions

- Updates to many of the internal extensions
- Enhancements to the MOStlyCE WYSIWYG content editor
Shortly, the community and the Mambo Team are focusing on finalizing work on the 4.7 branch. The focus is on leading Mambo to new ground with a more standard compliant, accessible release.
