PEAR Releases of the Week

The PEAR Releases of this week has five new entries. They are a package that provides the source code for the PEAR web site, DB 1.7.9, this extension provides a database abstraction layer, an object oriented interface to a database, which is a wrapper for PEAR DB or MDB2, a Pure-PHP arbitrary precision integer arithmetic library and a package that creates and uses PHP Archive files.

Here is the complete list:

• pearweb 1.2.4: this package provides the source code for the PEAR web site
• DB 1.7.9: DB is a database abstraction layer providing an OO-style query API, portability features that make programs written for one DBMS work with other DBMS's and such
• DB_Table 1.5.0RC1: the package provides an object oriented interface to a database
• Math_BigInteger 1.0.0RC3: it supports base-2, base-10, base-16, and base-256 numbers
• PHP_Archive0.10.0: it allows you to create a single. phar file containing an entire application
