SAP Japan has appointed Yoichiro Yatsurugi as its new President and CEO who will focus on how to best serve and support SAP customers and partners in Japan.
“The Asia-Pacific region is the global growth driver for SAP, and we have achieved major results in Japan under Robert’s leadership over the course of the last two and a half years. SAP Japan is now ready to be taken to the next level under Yatsurugi’s leadership” said Geraldine McBride, President & CEO SAP Asia Pacific Japan
“Japan represents one of the highest growth markets for SAP globally,” said Bill McDermott, President & CEO SAP Americas & Asia Pacific Japan.
“After meeting many Japanese customers with Yatsurugi-san at SAPPHIRE in October, I am very excited about him taking overall responsibility for SAP’s operations in Japan. Yatsurugi’s management skills, experience in the Japan market and commitment to our customers makes him the right choice to further fuel our growing business in Japan.”
Yatsurugi-san will be succeeding Robert Enslin, who will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer for SAP North America as of January 1, 2008.
Yatsurugi Yoichiro started his career with IBM in Japan and filled various managerial roles in Japan and the United States. He joined SAP Japan in April of this year as EVP of Strategic Industries and Solutions and in July 2007 was appointed to the Board of Directors. |
