US based mobile phones chipmaker Broadcom has extended its partnership with South Korean durables major Samsung. As part of the deal, Samsung will manufacture and market mobilephones embedded with Broadcom chips in Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia.
Broadcom also said the deal with Samsung includes advanced 3G (third-generation) cellular technology for a new series of Samsung mobile handsets now available.
Broadcom said its chips and software are being used in the SGH-J750 and SGH-A401 3G phones being made by Samsung. Broadcom also said more Samsung products with Broadcom's 3G technology are expected to be introduced for the holiday season. |
