With only a few months before the holiday season commences, Japanese electronics giant Sony has upped the marketing for its popular gaming console PS3 and telling people that it is also a new generation DVD player.
Sony wants to promote both the player and gaming console ahead of the Christmas holiday season. Sony has also not reduced the price of its gaming console waiting for other competitors to slash price so that it can match their prices later.
Globally Sony is sandwiched between its compatriot Nintendo and American rival Microsoft in the gaming market. While Nintendo has been seeing great sales, PSP from Sony and XBox 360 from Microsoft have been floundering with negligible sales. |
