High Tech Computer (HTC) launched the second installment to its TyTN in Singapore last week.

Hailed as the “ultimate mobile companion” The TyTN II features HSDPA connectivity, in-built GPS for personal navigation and an adjustable screen angle. Running on the Windows Mobile 6, the new device provides a complete suite of business applications including Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, contacts, calendar, push e-mail, notes, tasks, PDF viewer and more. In addition, HTC has included further applications such as a business card scanner and MapKing R12 to complement the in-built GPS.

Not just solely a business tool, games and videos can be played on the TyTN’s 2.8-inch colour screen.

Users get to connect in any country with the tri-band UMTS and quad-band EDGE available with the TyTN II It boasts 3.5G high speed internet – HSDPA, at speeds 9 times faster than 3G – and WiFi 802.11b/g to ensure users can enjoy high-speed surfing, uploading and downloading while roaming anywhere in the world.

HTC has also included BlackBerry Connect 4.0 for Microsoft Windows Mobile. The application allows the user to leverage on the benefits of BlackBerry wireless services, including BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Internet Service.

"This phone is a perfect match for mobile professionals and advanced mobile consumers on the go who can now benefit from the powerful feature set that the HTC TyTN II offers and the true high-speed mobile access the mobile operators are now offering."

The HTC TyTN II will be available from mid October at all authorized resellers at a suggested retail price of SGD 1,348.
