Japanese watches and musical keyboard maker Casio has unveiled a prototype of what it claims is the world’s fastest digital camera. Casio said the camera is capable of shooting up to 60 photos per second.
Casio, which is yet to name the camera, said the digital still camera offers 6.6 megapixels, a large 12x optical zoom lens and 60 photos per second at full resolution, much faster than any other camera available now.
Another highlight of the camera is that when not used in full resolution, the camera can take up to 300 photos. Casio said the technology in the camera enables it to record images as a motion JPEG movie and there is no need to record it as a separate JPEG files.
The new model will be launches sometimes in 2008 and features a 2.8 -inch LCD screen and a viewfinder. |
