Open source solutions company, Red Hat and security company Symantec have launched secure server bundles targeted at the small and medium-sized businesses.
The two companies will leverage the "Red Hat on Intel" channel distribution model for delivery of the solutions starting this month. The distribution for these bundled solutions will include existing Red Hat and Symantec channel partners that may not be part of the Red Hat-on-Intel channel. Both Red Hat and Symantec will independently offer associated updates, support and services, a company release said.
"The inherent security advantages of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the Application Stack, combined with Symantec's Critical System Protection, give small and medium enterprises a great standards-based, secure foundation for a variety of application workloads," said Todd Barr, director of enterprise marketing, Red Hat.
"The combination of Symantec Critical System Protection with Red Hat on the servers ensures that enterprises can deploy mission-critical applications for their business infrastructure and know that it's protected from misconfiguration, insider abuse and external attacks - even from zero-day vulnerability attacks," said Brian Foster, senior director of product management, Symantec. |
