JasperSoft has rolled out three new commercial open source reporting products—JasperReports Professional Edition, JasperReports Developer Edition, and JasperStudio Professional Edition. The products provide commercial quality and fully supported report-building tools, including the ability to add web reports, pixel-perfect print-ready reports, executive dashboards, tables, crosstabs, and charts to other applications.
The new products are built on JasperReports, the world's most widely deployed open source reporting library and iReport, an open source graphical report designer with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.
Downloads of JasperReports and related products have been doubling every year for the past three years, surpassing 2 million downloads in early 2007 and creating a market for the new premium professional versions. JasperSoft's Professional products include premium-level documentation, commercial licenses, advanced support options, increased platform and application support, and a managed release cycle.
