Google has wheeled out a new Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) API. This launch is aimed to help AJAX developers add Atom and RSS feeds to Web applications or blogs.
According to Bret Taylor, Google's group product manager for developer products, the AJAX Feed API, aims to help developers implement feeds into applications and Web sites by skipping complex code.
"Google handles all the heavy lifting for developers …resolves all the technical differences between different feed formats," he said.
The new release is a third on the list. In 2005, the company launched Google Maps API
Today, developers have to understand multiple differences between feeds and versions of feeds, and many find it difficult to incorporate them into Web sites and applications, he added and the Google Search API.
"Google is very committed to supporting AJAX developers," Taylor said. "It represents a great way to improve the Web experience."
