Eclipse seems to be back some its lost sheep back into the fold. Yuav Shapira, comments on his blog that Eclipse 3.2.2 has restored his interest in the IDE. Shapira, who has stayed clear of Eclipse for more than two years, owning to "its instability and memory consumption", says that Eclipse 3.2.2, or the first impressions of it, are definitely worth a second look.
He says, it is more intuitive, smoother, and faster. "The searchable configuration dialogs are cool. Plugin installation and configuration is a thing of beauty, at least when it works though the Remote Site mechanism. Debugging web apps in a running remote Tomcat server is a snap."
