The Callisto project aims to improve the Eclipse user experience by providing a better solution than the current one, which involves downloading ten different files to get the Eclipse installation that users need. The project also aims to make the ecosystem around Eclipse more visible to those who are downloading Eclipse.
This Update Manager discover site provides the features of the Callisto Release -- currently the RC1a version. It requires that you have at least the Eclipse 3.2 Platform Feature installed.
For example, to start with minimum foot-print, you can use the Platform Runtime Binary appropriate for your operating system. See Eclipse Help for general information about using Update Manager.
For most distributions of Eclipse, there should already be a "Callisto Discovery Site" defined in its Update Manager. But, if you do not see it you can try adding the following URL as a remote update site in your update manager.
Alternatively, if you would like to view the list or projects by their Eclipse Project (PMC) organization, you can define a new remote update site, and specify a site-byProject.xml file. In other words,
