Visual Paradigm has released version 3.3 of Streamlined Design and Development Environment (SDE) for Eclipse. SDE for Eclipse is a UML modeling environment tightly integrated with the Eclipse IDE. It lets you draw all types of UML diagrams (use case diagrams, class diagrams, component diagrams, etc.) in Eclipse, reverse source code (Java, C++, XML, XML Schema, CORBA IDL, etc.) to UML models, and generate Java source from UML diagrams. It features the latest UML notation support, a Rational Rose importer, an XMI importer, Microsoft Visio integration, HTML/PDF documentation generators, and plug-in and template support.
Visual Paradigm SDE for Eclipse offers the following benefits:
Intuitive navigation between code and visual model
Powerful UML PDF/HTML Report Generator and Ad-hoc Documentation Writer
Real-time or on demand, Round-Trip incremental model and source code synchronization
Superior visual modeling environment
Full UML notation support
Sophisticated Automatic Diagram Layout
Textual Analysis and CRC Card Support
In the new version, the Requirement Diagram was added from the SysML for requirements capturing and specification in a more effective and practical approach. The office exchange feature allows you to organize your business models by using MS Word. With the configurable stereotype, elements can be easily distinguished and emphasized in the diagram. New model references allow you to associate resources, include files, and URLs. After reversing the database, the generated code can call stored procedures in the database. The modeling project can be exported to and imported from an XML format.
