Open Source Software Boosted Our Growth: Instantiations
Instantiations has been ranked as the 51st fastest growing private company in Oregon, USA. The company attributes this ranking to building a profitable business on the open source software model.
Mike Taylor, Instantiations CEO, was on the committee that helped the Eclipse open source community establish a nonprofit foundation in 2003 and was recently elected to the Eclipse Foundation board. The company has three major products, WindowBuilder Pro, CodePro AnalytiX, and the recently introduced RCP Developer. RCP Developer leverages the open source Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) for creating Java-based client and standalone desktop applications. WindowBuilder is the market-leading product for creating graphical user-interfaces (GUIs) and CodePro AnalytiX is focused on helping developers measure and improve the quality of the software they develop.
Instantiations, along with the other Private 100 companies, was recognized at the annual Fastest-Growing Private 100 Companies Awards Reception in Oregon. This list recognizes the privately-owned companies in Oregon demonstrating the most revenue growth over the past three years and includes companies from an array of industries in healthcare, real estate, technology and others.
