Eclipse Forum Europe 2006, produced and presented by Software and Support Media, kicked off to a great start on Monday. The first installment of the four-day conference began with day-long workshops on ‘Developing Eclipse Rich client Applications’ and an introduction to ‘Aspect Oriented Programming with AspectJ’.
Tuesday comprises of the main conference, featuring a keynote address on ‘Buy AND build - a strategy for building applications that spans both packaged applications and custom development’ by Christopher Hearn, followed by sessions on Eclipse ALF, Adopting the Eclipse Architecture, an introduction to Eclipse Graphical Modeling Framework, Server Side Eclipse, the Corona Project, Java Development Tools, Eclipse TPTP, Team-APIs in Eclipse, case studies and an open discussion titled ‘Eclipse Nite’.
Wednesday, May 10th, will see the main conference continuing with sessions on Device Software Development Project, Eclipse Plug-in Development, Model Driven Development, JDT and Refactoring and Eclipse Web Tools and AJAX. The last day of Eclipse Forum Europe 2006 will comprise a day long workshop on Eclipse RCP Clients with J2EE Backend for Enterprise Applications.
