Matthew Schmidt at EclipseZone has announced that the news site will be hosting a set of ten podcast interviews with the Eclipse project team leads – one interview for each project in Callisto. The interviews will be conducted by Riyad Kalla and will cover topics like the journey of Callisto and what is next on their radar. The first few interviews will be available in the EclipseZone podcast series feed throughout the month of July.

The first interview features Richard Gronback of Borland, lead of the Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) project in Callisto. Richard gives an overview of the GMF project and explains what role it plays in the Callisto release. Richard reveals that the GMF project is set to exit incubation as soon as Callisto ships and version 1.0 of GMF is released. Richard also elaborates on what projects consume GMF, how the GEF and EMF integrate with GMF and plans for GMF 2.0.
