Etnus, LLC., has unveiled a news TotalView Eclipse plug-in that will enable the TotalView debugger to be launched from within the Eclipse IDE. Eclipse users can debug their C and C++ programs after downloading and installing the plug-in.
“Our customers like Eclipse,” says Scott Tate, Vice President of Marketing, Etnus, “but the gdb-based built-in debugger can’t handle multi-threaded and multi-process programs. Now that developers can launch TotalView from within Eclipse, that void is filled.”
The TotalView debugger, running it its own window, contains all the features found in TotalView launched from the command line - such as advanced MPI and multithreading support, as well as an interactive memory debugger.
